Come out and enjoy a fun and exciting day on the water on Hilton Head with Gone Fishing Charters! From families with kids young and old, to experienced fisherman, this is a fun charter for groups of all ages and experience levels. All trips are kid and pet friendly! Life Jackets will be supplied for kids who are 12 and under. All other life jackets are kept on board, anyone 13 and older can wear one at there choosing!
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for some fun! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. We will help you follow regulations while you fish.
It’s never a bad idea to bring snacks, drinks, sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). There will be water and ice included.

At Gone Fishing, we’ll be on a 26’ Glacier Bay Catamaran powered by a pair of 2020 Suzuki 175hp Outboards with a top cruising speed of 35mph. Known for its spacious layout and smooth ride, you will have plenty of room for you and your party. We can accommodate up to 6 passengers. With lots of dry storage, and room for you to bring a cooler, you will be ready for a productive day on the water. Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, along with lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask what the target species is for the time of year that you are here!
Gone Fishing Charters will make it easy for you to go fishing in Hilton Head Island.
Target Species
Hilton Head is home to many different species of fish. Depending on the time of the year and the length of your trip, you can have an opportunity to catch Red Drum, Trout, Sheepshead, Mackeral, Cobia, Seabass and many other types of fish! be sure to discuss what target species are for trips during specific times of the year.
In the warmer months, our shorter trips (2-4hr) are targeting sharks anywhere from 2-5 feet! This is a fun catch and release trip for families and beginner groups. We also offer a longer 6hr trip for those groups looking to catch larger sharks, anywhere in the 5-10ft range! Hilton Head is home to large Bull Sharks, Blacktips, Lemon Sharks, and Hammerheads. Very popular trip from groups looking for that big sea monster!
5-8hr trips have the opportunity to go offshore weather permitting. 5hr trips target King Mackeral, Spanish Mackeral, Red Drum, Sea bass, Jack Crevalle, and trout.
6-8hr trips target Cobia, Grouper, Snapper, Mackeral, and other bottom species.
